Dear Madam or Sir,
dear colleagues,

at the end of the third edition of CROSSING EUROPE Filmfestival Linz
a total of 12,000 visitors has been counted. This is an increase by 22,5%
compared to last year. 35 screenings (a third of all screenings offered) were sold out.

Isabelle Stever was awarded the CROSSING EUROPE 2006 Award European Competition for Gisela (Germany, 2005). Kontakt (Germany/Macedonia, 2005) by Sergej Stanojkovski received the RAY Audience Award. The CROSSING EUROPE 2006 Award Local Artist went to Gisela Hesser and Gregor Stadlober for Wir Lawog-Frauen haben's schön (Austria 2005). Special Mentions by the Local Artists Jury go to Am Hauptplatz, im Wald (Austria 2006) by Sofie Thorsen and fuge 1.6180339887 - Part 2 (Austria 2005/2006) by Robert Praxmarer.
