4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (4 luni, 3 saptamini si 2 zile), Cristian Mungiu's winner of both the FIPRESCI Prize and the Golden Palm in Cannes 2007, was chosen the Best Film of the Year, in the poll for FIPRESCI's Grand Prix. 248 members of the Federation, film critics all over the world, participated in the election, which gave a clear preference to the Romanian film. The Grand Prix will be presented to Cristian Mungiu during the opening ceremony of the San Sebastian Film Festival, on September 20. This was the result of the response of 248 members to a world-wide poll, which requested up to three votes. The nominations were counted in the following way: five points to the first place; four to the second, and three to the third.
