James Dickey's 'Deliverance' : a literary reminder |

actually, this is the weekend they didn't play golf.
James Dickey's novel - which John Boorman turned into a terrific movie - is separated into five chapters: Before, September 14th, September 15th, September 16th and After.
So if you've got a copy lying around, you might want to pick it up and read it "in sequence", as it were. Or you might not. Anyway, forewarned is forearmed.
Likewise, over the next few days I'll catch up on various outstanding and pending reviews:
Badlands Eden Lake The Banishment Wall-E Pineapple Express Happy-Go-Lucky
Then next week I will finally get round to finishing off the coverage of the film-festivals in Lisbon and Edinburgh - stuff which has been in my "in-tray" for some months now. Mea culpa.
