Two legs bad, four legs good.
In a word: sprightly.*

* PS :
In the decade since the 1999 masterpiece Rushmore (9/10), Mr Anderson has now delivered:
The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) 8/10
The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou (2004) 7/10
The Darjeeling Limited (2007) 7/10
and now
Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) 7/10
In a way, such consistency is something to cheer (and there's so much in Fox that is truly delightful.) In another, it's a little bit depressing.
In his 2002 New Biographical Dictionary of Film, David Thomson advised – in his fleeting, two-line entry on Anderson (more of a somewhat insulting non-entry, really) - that we should "watch this space" as "he might be something one day."
That was written in the wake of Tenenbaums. It now seems more than likely that particular "one day" will never dawn.
